Miami, FL.- Dot Fiftyone Art Gallery announces the opening of the exhibition “Chromesthesia” recent works by New York Artist Tapp Francke. The exhibition will bow at an invitational cocktail reception, Friday February 3rd 2006, 7 PM-11PM in the heart of Wynwood Art & Design District of Miami. The show runs through March 3rd. Featuring color field photographs on neon lighting and neon tubing words, the work will make the viewer stop…look…and experience. The color images will take each individual on a journey through their own psyche, bringing to the surface their past and present experiences.

There will be fifteen photographs, many will be c-prints mounted on aluminum and others will be dura-clear prints mounted on transparent plexi-glass, covered in a UV protected laminate and hung from the ceiling. The original images are achieved without digital process. Francke shoots medium format film with an old Hasselblad.

The neon tubes words range in colors and sizes from 32” through 48”. Francke is selected in choosing the appropriate font, color, and size of the tube to create a clear definition of her view.

On view also at Dot Fiftyone’s second floor gallery the recent works by Maluchi Vivar. Among of the works to be featured will her series: “LA MEGAFORZA"
